ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَق
“Recite (what is being revealed to you, O Muḥammad) by (commencing with) the name of your Lord Who created (all things).”
(Al-Alaq: 1)
أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا
“and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style.”
(Al-Muzzammil: 4)

We believe the foundation of one’s learning is fundamental just like the foundation and pillars of a building. Learning to read, perfect and become proficient in the recitation of the Qurān is achieved in stages like building blocks.
Our focus is not merely the quantity, speed and melody of one’s recitation but rather the quality and accuracy, with precise application of all the Tajweed rules according to the way in which the Qurān was revealed to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
